DPS - Device Positioning Systems

Medical devices can be heavy, while they need to be precisely positioned for thir special purpose. Device positioning requires rigid structures, with the right level of moveability and flexibility. As a mechatronics integrator, Inno develops and produces device positioning systems for its clients.

Flexible positioning of medical devices

Traditional DPS require a rigid column that supports vertical positioning of a medical device. Connected to this, the medical device is either fxed to a support arm, or connected to the column with an addional flexible mechanism that can be moved in various directions.

An example of this is the vertical column for a dental X-Ray application. The vertical column enables the dentist to position the X-Ray device at every desired height.

More recently, robotic arms and flexible arms with high precision postioning are increasingly applied in medical mechatronic equipment. Inno follows this trend closely, so we can support our customers with their newest product breakthroughs.
