Reference Projects

We operate in an ecosystem, in which we are the spinning wheel between our supplier network and our customers. We add valu by producing the products our customers need, to the required specs. A great deal of effort goes into the projects that produce the products. We take great pride in the great projects we do, and the partners we work with. Read on for a selection of project references.

Patient Positioning Systems for MRI

It will come as no surprise to you: technical equipment used in the medical sector — think CT and MRI scans — must be one hundred percent reliable. Extremely high standards are therefore applied to product validation and product release, with the risk that it may take a lot of time before the equipment can be introduced—a significant expense.

Inno boasts many years of experience in the medical sector. We are fully aware of the specific requirements that apply there and can therefore easily meet all technical production conditions. Equally important, Inno can significantly accelerate the introduction of your product. Time savings during both the design and production phases directly benefit you.

From the early days of MRI system development, Inno has been involved as a key developer and supplier of Patient Positioning Systems to the industry. From mobile systems to fixed, multi-axis systems; we've got the experience and the drive to supply top notch solutions.

Smart Re-engineering of automatic gates

Boon Edam is a world market leader in entrance solutions. Frank Hoonakker has been employed here for 9 years as Manager of Purchasing. For both Boon Edam and Inno Group, a long-term and transparent relationship is the key to success!

Frank Hoonakker says: 'A long time ago, the way of working was: we ask, you produce. Straight and simple. But this gradually changed. Many years ago, Commercial Director Rob Beltman indicated that a strategy change would be implemented. This created more time and attention for Inno's strategic relationships, particularly ensuring that they are involved early in larger projects.'

Convinced of points for improvement

Inno re-engineered the access gate. It concerns a special and ultra-modern access gate that is part of a broader product family within Boon Edam. After launching the new access gate on the market, Boon Edam was convinced that there were still significant opportunities for improvement. In close collaboration with Inno Metal, this project was tackled thoroughly. The access gate is produced and constructed in a smarter way.

By redesigning the frame while retaining the original functions, we have achieved a higher quality product. Inno was invited to the Research and Development basement of Boon Edam, where prototypes are being actively worked on. Ton Koridon immediately saw opportunities to construct the frame differently while maintaining the same end product. This has been very successful.

Looking forward to a joint future

Frank Hoonakker values a transparent organization that is easily approachable, helpful, and ultimately focused on the most efficient production possibilities. By redesigning the frame while retaining the original functions, we have achieved a higher quality product. Vertical integration of Inno is a big added value.

Boon Edam is very satisfied with the cooperation with Inno and the results that are being achieved. “Inno has established a good organisation and continues to invest in the company. Due to this healthy development, people continue to commit to you. Your machines deliver high quality, the assembly staff is well-trained, and unmanned production also has a positive impact on the cost price. That is why I see you as a leader in the sheet metal processing industry. I also consider it important that communication runs smoothly and that delivery reliability meets expectations. This allows us to serve our customers optimally and completes the circle,” Frank says contentedly.

DeVi-Stairlifts

DeVi-Stairlifts is the creator and manufacturer of the UP stairlift. This is the first fully reusable stairlift, which is immediately available. Inno Metal takes care of the metal sheet components of the stairlifts. “At Inno Group we can count on good quality,” says Dennis Vroegindeweij, owner/director of DeVi-Stairlifts. “In addition, they deliver on the agreed time.”

Over DeVi-Stairlifts

In 2018, DeVi-Stairlifts introduced the Up stairlift, where the rail is no longer made of steel but of aluminum. Many stairlifts consist of more than 100 components, but the Up stairlift has only two. The stairlift is made up of straight profiles and their own patented curve segments. These can be easily connected, allowing any imaginable curve to be formed. With the Up stairlift, DeVi-Stairlifts won the Excellence Functionality Award at the Dutch Design Week 2019 in Eindhoven. In addition, they received second place for the public award. It is a beautiful product with a GIO (Good Industrial Design) recognition! Inno Metal manufactures the metal sheet components of DeVi-Stairlifts' stairlifts.

Inno Group is happy to collaborate with its customers, including DeVi-Stairlifts. "It's nice that Inno thinks along with us. When we indicate that a certain assembly needs to fit together neatly, they provide a suitable solution. Additionally, they are ready to help when we have questions".

This results in a good final outcome: "Everything fits together neatly." The contact between both parties goes well and is experienced as pleasant. "We hope for a long-lasting collaboration," Dennis concludes.

Bandall profiteert duidelijk van de meerwaarde van Koridon

"Inno Zaandam (formerly Koridon) delivers products of very high quality, which allows us to use them immediately without having to process them ourselves," says Bram van Roosmalen, director of Bandall Benelux BV. After nearly 15 years of close collaboration, Inno still delivers numerous quality products to Bandall almost weekly, with Inno Metal also being directly involved in product innovation and development.

This intensive collaboration brings many benefits to Bandall. “Precisely because of this, Inno knows exactly what we can and cannot do in the field of sheet metal work, and how that relates to the assembly process. As a result, we can act faster and the development time for new machines and specials is significantly reduced.”

About Bandall Production

Bandall is an innovative Dutch company focused on the development of bundling and banding machines. Banding is the process of bundling or labeling one or more packages with a sleeve of film or paper. Thanks to Bandall's unique banding system, this is done extremely quickly, cost-efficiently, and without damage.

From its headquarters in De Meern and its production site in Heemskerk, Bandall's banding solutions reach at least 90 countries worldwide, either directly or through around 40 distributors. Bandall's success stems from the combination of patented technology, customer- and solution-oriented thinking, intensive collaborations, and optimal service.

About the collaboration

Van Roosmalen: “Our collaboration is very good and actually somewhat resembles the collaboration we have with our distributors. From Bandall, we place great importance on having good business partners with whom we can grow and develop together. Doing good business with each other depends on building strong personal relationships. We are convinced that this makes a collaboration even more fruitful. Therefore, we also view Koridon as a very pleasant and reliable business partner, with whom we have been happily doing business for more than 12 years.”

The first contact between Bandall and Inno Metal dates back to mid-2003, when Inno Metal Zaandam was still Koridon. Bandall decided to look for a new company to cut their sheet material. The then-current supplier could not meet the tolerances and requirements, which led them to search for a new, specialized company that could be involved early in the production process. The work delivered by Koridon proved to be of higher quality right away; for example, the cut material no longer had any sharp edges.

The collaboration between Inno and Bandall goes both ways. Jos Cornelisse, director at Bandall Production in Heemskerk, explains: “In addition to the quality delivered, you also see that real added value is provided in the service and in thinking along at an early stage. This allows us to immediately know whether certain processes are possible or not. In addition, Inno provides valuable input whenever there is room for improvement regarding our products. In this way, Inno is truly closely involved in the development of our machines. The reverse also applies. If we can help Koridon with something, we will always do so immediately, because that is what we understand by partnership.”

More small orders, still clear oversight

Because Bandall is increasingly focusing on fully automated lines and specials in addition to standard machines, the number of small specialized orders at Inno is also increasing. Within one order (so within one Bandall machine), for example, multiple small suborders can be placed at Inno, depending on the type of machine.

Cornelisse explains: “Outsourcing a larger number of small orders is an enormous puzzle, which can almost literally be placed at Koridon and then produced there. The moment the production comes back to us, our own employees can neatly assemble the puzzle. And I think that is also a good example of our cooperation. It's not just a few hundred pieces of sheet metal that are delivered to us, but through correct labeling and packaging, it remains easy for our employees to locate everything. This way, we can ultimately build our machines efficiently, with the right materials.
